Domaine Paul Pernot

Founded in 1959 in Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Paul Pernot is one of Burgundy’s leading names. Rooted in a long family tradition, the estate has grown over the generations, with the grandchildren now actively involved, carrying on a demanding artisanal craft that respects the natural world.

The vineyard now spans approximately 20 hectares, a large portion of which is located in Puligny-Montrachet, at the heart of the prestigious Côte de Beaune. The vines, often old, grow on limestone soils perfectly suited to Chardonnay, benefiting from ideal east and southeast exposures. This exceptional terroir allows for the production of white wines of great finesse, combining mineral tension, richness, and aromatic precision.

Domaine Paul Pernot is renowned for its many prestigious appellations, notably its Puligny-Montrachet Premiers Crus such as Les Folatières and Les Pucelles, as well as iconic Grands Crus like Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. Aging, carried out sparingly in oak barrels, preserves the pure expression of the terroir.

Less well-known, the red wines from old vines also offer beautiful depth and round out a remarkably consistent portfolio.

Domaine Paul Pernot thus stands out as a must-have for connoisseurs of fine Burgundy wines seeking elegance, authenticity, and precision.
