Domaine Trapet Père & Fils

Founded in 1919 in Gevrey-Chambertin, the Jean Trapet Père et Fils estate rose to the heights during the 20th century. Today, the vines of this family estate cover 15 hectares, including 13.5 in Pinot Noir and 1.5 in Chardonnay and include famous appellations, in particular the Grands Crus Chambertin, Chapelle-Chambertin and Gevrey-Chambertin. Cultivated biodynamically since 1995, the Jean Trapet Père et Fils estate took on a new dimension when Jean-Louis Trapet married Andrée Trapet, née Grayer, heiress of an estate in Riquewihr in Alsace. The two spouses decided to work hand in hand. The wines of the Jean Trapet Père et Fils estate are among the most prestigious and recognized in the region, in particular its Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru Clos Prieur.
