Domaine Jacques-Frederic Mugnier

The Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier estate is a former family estate founded in 1863 and is located in the town of Chambolle-Musigny in the heart of the Côte de Nuits.

The estate changed radically in 2004, going from 4 to 14 hectares of vines following the reintegration of vines that had been leased 53 years earlier. The vines are on average 60 years old and allow Frédéric Mugnier to produce around 60,000 bottles per year. The estate currently has, among others, the best appellations of the terroir of Chambolle-Musigny, Musigny, Bonnes-Mares, Les Amoureuses, Les Fuées without counting on its monopoly Le Clos de la Maréchale in Nuits-Saint-Georges.

The wines produced there are all finesse to best express the terroir. The wines are pure, delicate and are considered by connoisseurs as the archetype of the great red wines of Burgundy using the pinot noir grape variety.
