The Felettig estate was created in 1965 at the instigation of Henri Felettig. Helped by his wife Queen, he inherited two hectares of vines and one of blackcurrant belonging to his parents. If the grapes are first sent to the local cooperative, the winemaker decides to embark on the adventure of winemaking. He therefore signed his first vintage 4 years later, in 1969. Again 4 years later, he and his wife acquired a larger property in order to increase their operating area, which would then reach 9 hectares in the early 1990s. Today, the farm extends over 13 hectares and has a good hundred plots cultivated with care, according to reasoned principles. The idea is to “transform into wine what nature [them] gives. » The vines are treated with natural products such as copper and sulphur.

Description

The harvest is done at optimal maturity and is strictly sorted before vinification. Fermentation takes place slowly and naturally thanks to indigenous yeasts. Aging is done by gravity and lasts 14 to 18 months in carefully selected barrels. In general, the proportion of new wood varies according to the appellations: 50% for the grands crus and the 1er crus as well as 30% for the villages.
