The Grande Rue vineyard at Domaine Nicole Lamarche is one of Burgundy's absolute gems and the only Grand Cru in Vosne-Romanée to be operated as a monopole. Located between Romanée-Conti and La Tâche, this iconic plot benefits from an exceptional terroir, composed of fine, perfectly drained limestone soils, offering a unique expression of Pinot Noir.
At the Nicole Lamarche estate, viticulture is carried out with a deep respect for living organisms, favouring organic practices and meticulous work in the vineyard. Yields are deliberately limited in order to concentrate the expression of the terroir. Vinification is precise and minimally interventionist, with controlled ageing allowing the wine to gain complexity without masking its identity.
On tasting, La Grande Rue impresses with its balance and nobility. The bouquet reveals great aromatic complexity, combining black cherry, raspberry, dried rose, fine spices and subtle woody notes.
