Directly from the cellars of Domaine Bonneau Du Martray in October 2022, these fabulous bottles of Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru had exceptional aging conditions.
This Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru from the Bonneau Du Martray estate is a remarkably lively and powerful wine. The length and persistence in the mouth are just remarkable. Surely one of the most beautiful Corton-Charlemagne on the Coast.
This magnificent Grand Cru that is Corton-Charlemagne was aged by plot for 12 months in French oak barrels with 30% new barrels, before spending another 6 months in stainless steel vats on fine lees. Part of the harvest is integrated into sandstone, Dolia and concrete egg amphorae in order to bring great purity to the wine. Subsequently, a rigorous parcel selection is carried out in order to achieve perfect harmony between each type of the 3 microclimates present on the terroir of Corton Charlemagne. The Bonneau Du Martray estate is one of the emblems of Burgundy. Certified biodynamic since 2013 and organic since 2019, the estate has only two appellations but any, two grands crus that are Corton and Corton Charlemagne.
