Domaine Bachelet-Monnot

Domaine Bachelet-Monnot is now considered one of the most promising estates in the Côte de Beaune. Founded in 2005 by Marc and Alexandre Bachelet, descendants of a family of winemakers that has been based in Maranges for several generations, the estate has quickly established itself as a sought-after name in Burgundy.

Located in Dezize-lès-Maranges, Domaine Bachelet-Monnot cultivates a vineyard of approximately 25 hectares spread across several prestigious appellations, including Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Maranges, Santenay, and Beaune. Each plot receives special attention to accurately reveal the identity of its terroir.

The estate’s philosophy is based on rigorous work in the vineyard, controlled yields, and harvests carried out at perfect ripeness. In the cellar, winemaking remains minimally interventionist to preserve the purity of the fruit and the natural expression of Burgundy’s terroirs. The aging process, perfectly integrated, adds complexity and depth without ever masking the wines’ origins.

The wines of Domaine Bachelet-Monnot captivate with their tension, finesse, and great precision. The whites offer remarkable minerality and beautiful energy, while the reds combine elegance, freshness, and depth. These sought-after vintages accurately illustrate the full richness of Burgundy’s great terroirs.
