Domaine Bachelet-Monnot

The Bachelet-Monnot estate is above all a fraternal adventure of wine enthusiasts! The two brothers Alexandre and Marc, we grew up in the middle of a family of winegrowers, so it was only natural that they decided to join forces in 2005 and found their own estate, the Bachelet-Monnot estate.

Several years later, their project is a real success, going from a few hectares of vines to now 22 hectares spread over 20 appellations owned or rented, including some of the most famous appellations in Burgundy. Among others, we find the famous Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, … . Their vines do not have organic approval, but are cultivated in an ecological, sustainable way and by borrowing some principles of biodynamics.

On the vinification side, the wines are aged on average between 18 and 20 months in oak barrels, 20 to 30% of which are new). The wines produced by the two brothers are based on the best wines of the Côte-de-Beaune, more particularly their white wines which are made from the finest Chardonnays in the region. Their wines are modern, technical, structured, balanced with great tension. In short, real nuggets that deserve to be discovered if this is not already the case.
