Domaine Arnoux Lachaux

The Arnoux Lachaux estate is a family estate located in the commune of Vosne-Romanée, the same small village that is home to the famous Romanée-Conti estate, just that!

Florence, Pascal Lachaux and their son, Charles, farm 14.5 hectares and produce 15 exceptional appellations, from the village appellation to the grand cru: Clos-de-Vougeot, Echezaux, Romanée-Saint-Vivant... . In total, there are three grands crus, five premier crus, five village appellations and a generic Burgundy. The estate only produces red wines.

In 2012, Charles, the son and sixth generation of the family, joined the estate and very quickly knew how to put his dough into the vines as well as during the vinification while drawing inspiration from the mythical Leroy estate. More precisely, important work has been accomplished in the vineyard in recent years, with a return to goblet pruning, very high trellising and the complete absence of trimming, as well as the almost total cessation of the use of contact. On the vinification side, it is in whole harvest, short vatting and aging without racking, with 10 to 30% new barrels.

His hard work quickly paid off, as in 2021 Charles was voted the best young winemaker on the planet at the Golden Vines Awards!

No need to specify, we are here facing a very large estate whose quality, reputation but also the rarity of the wines will only grow in the coming years.
