Domaine de L'Arlot

The Arlot wine estate is located in Burgundy, in the commune of Nuits-Saint-Georges and produces mainly red wine from Pinot Noir. The estate is known for its high quality wines, which are often described as elegant and complex. The Domaine de l'Arlot has around 14 hectares of vines, which have been cultivated biodynamically since 2003 (certified organic since 2013). This means that the vines are grown in a natural way, without the use of chemicals or pesticides.

The Domaine de l'Arlot mainly produces red wines, but it is also very famous for these white wines. The estate also takes its name from a plot of a plot planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, of which they have the monopoly, the "Clos de l'Arlot". The estate also has a second monopoly but in red this time, the “Clos des Forêts Saint Georges”. The estate's red wines are aged in oak barrels for 15 months before being bottled after aging for 18 months. The proportion of new barrels varies between 30% and 50% depending on the year. For the white wines, the aging is over 15 months in total with 12 in oak barrels. The content in new barrels is also lower and is around 20%.
