Thomas Batardière
The Thomas Batardière estate, nestled in the heart of the Loire Valley, embodies artisan winemaking at its best. After honing his skills with Mathieu Vallée, Thomas Batardière chose to settle in Anjou, where he acquired four parcels of vines in 2012. These parcels, planted with grolleau and chenin grapes, are on average 30 years old and cultivated with absolute respect for the soil and biodiversity.
Adopting organic farming practices, Thomas Batardière devotes meticulous attention to each of his vines, tailoring care to the specific needs of each plot. This approach allows each terroir to express itself fully. Hand-picked grapes are carefully selected. Low-intervention winemaking preserves the purity of the fruit and reveals authentic, gourmet aromas.
Domaine Thomas Batardière cuvées are distinguished by their character and finesse, offering a unique tasting experience. True to a sustainable and respectful philosophy, the domaine produces wines that capture the essence of Anjou while enhancing the diversity and uniqueness of each vintage. Whether it's a vibrant grolleau or an elegant chenin, each bottle reflects the passion and know-how of a winemaker committed to a healthy, sustainable approach.
