Domaine Francois Mikulski

The François Mikulski Estate, founded in 1991 in Meursault by François and Marie-Pierre, now covers 9.5 hectares of prestigious Burgundy terroirs, including Meursault 1er Crus, Volnay, Pommard, Saint-Aubin, as well as village and Burgundy appellations. A visionary, François works the soil using organic farming methods – homemade compost, ploughing and sustainable viticulture – without certification but with rigorous practices.

Yields are controlled (45–50 hl/ha for whites, 35 hl/ha for reds) to ensure healthy and expressive grapes. The whites undergo pneumatic pressing, followed by 12–18 months of ageing in barrels (max. 20% new), with fermentation on lees and light fining for optimal aromatic precision. The reds, sorted and then destemmed, ferment for 15–18 days with indigenous yeasts before undergoing similar ageing.

The result? Wines of remarkable purity, crystal clear, fresh and extremely elegant, true reflections of their terroir, whether Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. The limited quantities (a few thousand bottles per vintage) make them highly sought-after rarities.

Today, the future of the estate is assured by their daughter Anna and son-in-law Thomas Boccon, who continue to uphold the high standards and vision of qualitative purity.
