Domaine Giuseppe Quintarelli

Father of Amarone and distinguished Italian winemaker, Giuseppe Quintarelli left an invaluable legacy to his family, which now runs the estate after him. Excellence, tradition, craftsmanship, patience and authenticity define the titanic work provided by this property which only produces when the vintage allows it. Extremely elegant, the wines are endowed with great sweetness and wonderful aromatic persistence.

Viticulture at the estate is traditional, inspired by ancestral gestures. The vine is only treated when absolutely necessary (when it rains a lot, for example). No weedkiller is used because tillage is preferred. Yields are kept to a minimum by rigorous pruning and green harvesting. The latter are carried out quite late, at good maturity. The grapes are harvested by hand, in small wooden boxes, better absorbing the humidity of the bunches and thus better preserving the grapes. The bunches are inspected before being dried for at least 4 months in drying chambers (for amarone). The cellar has been modernized to allow a better quality of the wines. In short, an exceptional and confidential domain (60,000 bottles per year).
