Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg

Domaine Georges Mugneret Gibourg is a family estate deeply attached to its terroir. The estate is located in the commune of Vosne-Romanée, on the Côte de Nuits, renowned worldwide for the quality of its red wines made from pinot noir.

This emblem of Burgundy was born from the merger in 2009 of Domaines Mugneret-Gibourg and Georges Mugneret to give birth to Domaine Georges Mugneret-Gibourg. The same year, Jacqueline retired and today the estate is run by the two sisters, Marie-Christine and Marie-Andrée. Their main objective is to respect their terroir and the Pinot Noir as much as possible! Especially its finesse, its fruit and its freshness through a gentle and classic vinification.

With just over 8 hectares and 9 different appellations, the Domaine produces between 20,000 and 30,000 bottles depending on the year.

The Estate has chosen sustainable cultivation, thus favoring the unique expression of each plot. Harvesting is done manually. As soon as they arrive at the winery, the grapes are subject to rigorous selection on a sorting table, 100% destemmed and put in vats. After a cold maceration of 4 to 5 days, the alcoholic fermentation starts and takes place in about ten days. Fermentation lasts a total of 15 to 20 days. After devatting and pressing on a pneumatic press, each cuvée is aged in our cellars in oak barrels for 18 months.

This aging is interspersed with rackings. Each appellation is then blended. The wines are bottled at the Domaine without fining or filtration.

As you will have understood, the wines produced by the Georges Mugneret Gibourg estate are real gems of goldsmithery that will delight your palate.
