Description
Located on the upper part of the "Sous la Velle" terroir and adjoining Château de la Velle, Clos de la Velle is a monopoly of the Darviot family, represented by the Darviot and Darviot-Perrin estates. With a surface area of 0.56 hectares, this parcel benefits from rich, deep soil resting on a stony base, favouring optimal water drainage.
The vines, which are on average 60 to 70 years old, have a rich history, with a third of the plot having been replanted 30 years ago. Meursault "Clos de la Velle" has a pale gold colour with green tints characteristic of the wine's youth. Its delicate bouquet reveals slightly mineral aromas, accompanied by citrus notes that give it freshness and liveliness.
On the palate, this wine is full-bodied and structured, with a generous roundness and a fine tension on the finish.
