Domaine Darviot Perrin
Domaine Darviot-Perrin, founded in 1989 by Didier Darviot and Geneviève Perrin, is the heir to a long family winegrowing tradition dating back to the 19th century. Situated in the heart of Burgundy, this prestigious estate extends over 9 hectares, with vines spread across the communes of Monthelie, Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet, Volnay and Beaune.
Since 2017, Pierre-Antonin Darviot, the 10th generation of winegrowers, has been at the helm of the estate. A graduate of the prestigious Lycée Viticole de Beaune, he honed his skills alongside his father and at Domaine Thomas Morey. His approach combines respect for tradition with modern innovation.
Domaine Darviot-Perrin is currently converting to organic farming, with certification planned for 2024. Pierre-Antonin favours environmentally-friendly practices, incorporating biodynamic principles with the use of natural herbal teas and organic compost. This approach is reflected in the purity and vivacity of the wines, fully expressing the unique character of each parcel.
The wines are carefully matured in 228-litre oak barrels for 12 months, followed by 7 months in vats. Around 15% of the barrels are new, allowing the wines to develop complex aromas and a harmonious texture. The estate controls yields to make the most of the terroir and guarantee the exceptional quality of its vintages.
At Domaine Darviot-Perrin, each bottle reflects the unique terroir and family know-how, offering wine lovers an unforgettable taste experience. Pierre-Antonin Darviot, faithful to the family heritage, continues to perpetuate the tradition while bringing a modern and respectful vision of viticulture, making the estate's wines shine throughout the world.
