Description
Domaine Lucien Muzard's Bourgogne Aligoté blanc perfectly reflects traditional Burgundian know-how and the care taken at every stage of production. The grapes come from two parcels of old vines, located respectively in the communes of Remigny and Meursault, where the clay-loam soils provide fine minerality and finesse.
Cultivated with respect for the environment, the vines are meticulously tended: soil ploughing, disbudding, lifting and leaf-thinning, to ensure optimum ripeness of the grapes. Harvesting is done by hand to preserve the integrity of the fruit.
Vinification follows a classic, precise approach, with complete malolactic fermentation over winter in the estate's underground cellars. Aging in 350-liter barrels for 9 months gives the wine a subtle balance of freshness, aromatic complexity and silky texture.
On tasting, this Bourgogne Aligoté reveals lively aromas of citrus, crisp white fruit and subtle floral notes. On the palate, it combines fine mineral tension and delicate roundness, offering a fresh, persistent finish. Ideal as an aperitif, it also goes wonderfully with seafood, grilled fish or gourmet salads. Drink within 3 years to fully appreciate its vivacity and brilliance.
