Description
Located in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, Domaine Saint-Jacques, run by Christophe Grandmougin, has been carrying on a family wine-making tradition since 1955. The estate's Rully 1er Cru Marissou is made from Chardonnay vines planted on south/south-east-facing plots that benefit from optimum sunshine.
This wine is distinguished by its golden colour with subtle green highlights. The nose is rich and complex, with notes of apricot, quince, honey, vanilla and toast, enhanced by a touch of grapefruit. On the palate, the attack is lively, followed by a round, mouth-watering body, underpinned by well-balanced acidity that adds freshness and balance.
Ageing in oak barrels, renewed every three years, gives Rully 1er Cru Marissou an elegant structure and a remarkable capacity for ageing, from 3 to 15 years. Over time, it develops more complex aromas and an even more harmonious texture.
This white Burgundy goes perfectly with refined dishes such as seafood, fish in sauce or poultry in cream sauce. It will also enhance a platter of mature cheeses.

Domaine Saint-Jacques
Domaine Saint-Jacques, located in Rully in Burgundy, is a 9.5 hectare family estate. Founded in 1955 by Christophe-Amédée Grandmougin, it has been run by his son, Christophe-Jean, since 1991. The estate produces top-quality Burgundy wines, including Rully 1er Cru Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as well as Bourgogne Aligoté. The 13thᵉ century Romanesque cellars and the 18thᵉ century winery bear witness to its rich heritage.
