Château des Tours’ Côtes-du-Rhône is an iconic cuvée created by Emmanuel Reynaud, a legendary figure in the Rhône Valley. Made primarily from Grenache grown on old vines, this red wine captivates with its vibrant fruit, finesse and incredible drinkability. An essential benchmark for the appellation, combining depth, elegance and authenticity in a unique and instantly recognisable style.
The Château des Tours Côtes-du-Rhône is much more than just a regional appellation wine. Crafted by Emmanuel Reynaud, owner of the legendary Château Rayas, it embodies a unique vision of the Rhône Valley, where the pursuit of finesse and fruit expression takes precedence over power.
Made primarily from Grenache, supplemented depending on the vintage by other traditional southern Rhône grape varieties, this wine comes from plots situated around Château des Tours in Sarrians. The vines benefit from a terroir of rounded pebbles, sand and clay, which promotes optimal ripening of the grapes whilst preserving freshness and balance.
In keeping with Emmanuel Reynaud’s philosophy, winemaking involves minimal intervention to fully respect the character of the vintage. The ageing process accompanies the wine discreetly, allowing the purity of the fruit to shine through.
On the palate, the Château des Tours Côtes-du-Rhône reveals an intense bouquet of wild strawberries, ripe cherries, raspberries, garrigue and sweet spices. As it opens up, floral notes emerge, along with more complex nuances of liquorice and Mediterranean herbs.
On the palate, it captivates with its silky texture, remarkable balance and vibrant fruit. Deeper and more refined than one would typically expect from a Côtes-du-Rhône, it offers a lingering finish and great potential for development in the bottle.
A true connoisseur’s wine, this cuvée has, over the years, become an essential benchmark for lovers of Emmanuel Reynaud’s wines and the great wines of the southern Rhône.
Château des Tours is in the same line of exceptional wines as Château de Rayas. It produces wines mainly from the Vacqueyras and Côte du Rhône appellations.
