The Meursault “Meix Chavaux” from Domaine Lucien Muzard is an emblematic cuvée of the Côte de Beaune, sourced from a plot located mid-slope on clay-limestone soils rich in limestone. This privileged location, combined with vines some dating back to 1935, gives the wine great complexity and a distinctive character.
Vinified with precision, this Chardonnay is hand-harvested and then fermented in barrels with indigenous yeasts, before undergoing careful aging in 350-liter barrels. This process preserves the expression of the terroir while adding structure and finesse.
On the palate, it reveals a refined bouquet blending ripe white fruits, citrus, buttery notes, and subtle hints of hazelnut and almond. The palate is distinguished by its breadth, silky texture, and freshness, supported by an elegant mineral backbone.
