Description
The vineyard is located 20 meters from the bottom of Les Morgeot, 1er cru de Chassagne, on a gentle, east-facing slope. Its surface area is approximately 1ha50. The plot was planted in 1990 and 2005, is 1.57 hectares in size and is pruned to Guyot simple. The soil is worked with various ploughs. The vines are manually de-budded and leaf-thinned on the sunrise side, to acclimatize the bunches to the sun and aerate the vegetation. Harvesting is done by hand.
Malolactic fermentation takes place completely over winter in the estate's underground cellars. The wine is aged for 12 months in 350-liter barrels, with a third of the cuvée aged in tuns before being blended for approximately 2 months.
