Clos des Lambrays is one of the five Grands Crus of the Morey-Saint-Denis commune, and probably produces its most distinctive wine. Almost all of it belongs to the Domaine des Lambrays, a tiny part being owned by the Taupenot-Merme domain. Full-bodied, concentrated and remarkably elegant, Clos des Lambrays displays a rare aromatic complexity: notes of blackberry, blueberry and raspberry then, with age, nuances of undergrowth, truffle, spices, liquorice and violet. As for its future prospects, they often exceed twenty years.

Description
The Lambrays estate is located on the Côte de Nuits in Morey Saint-Denis. It was bought by the LVMH group in 2014. It owes its name to the famous Grand Cru Clos des Lambrays, which it has a virtual monopoly. In addition to Clos des Lambrays, the estate produces superb Morey-Saint-Denis as well as whites in Puligny-Montrachet, bringing the total area of the vineyard to 11 hectares. We practice low yields (28hl / ha), manual harvesting, and an 18-month aging in 50% new oak barrels. The whole range is exceptional. In comparison with the Burgundian elite, prices remain reasonable. But the notoriety of the domain continues to grow throughout the world.
