“Serres-Seques”, meaning ‘the dry ridge’, is an emblematic cuvée of Domaine Lajibe, made from Petit Manseng grapes grown on very steep slopes. This unique terroir, worked according to biodynamic principles, rests on clay soils and is characterized by traditional planting across the slope. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, guaranteeing meticulous selection at optimum ripeness.
Natural winemaking, with no inputs and indigenous yeasts, preserves all the purity of the fruit. Ageing in wood brings depth and complexity to this generous wine. With 100 g/L residual sugar, “Serres-Seques” reveals a remarkable balance between richness and freshness.
The delicately expressive nose opens with aromas of quince, exotic fruit and a subtle touch of honey. On the palate, greed dominates, underpinned by striking freshness and energy. The exceptionally sapid finish invites you to prolong the experience with a second glass.
This elegant Jurançon is the perfect embodiment of Domaine Lajibe's craftsmanship, making an ideal dessert or aperitif wine to accompany refined dishes or simply for the pleasure of an exceptional tasting.
