Domaine Lucien Muzard's white Saint-Aubin 1er Cru “Sur le Sentier du Clou” is a veritable Côte de Beaune nugget, carefully crafted with respect for Burgundian traditions. This 1er Cru draws its unique character from its limestone terroir, which gives the wine remarkable minerality and purity. Meticulously cultivated, the vines benefit from respectful practices such as soil ploughing, disbudding, lifting and leaf-thinning, as well as hand-picking to ensure optimal grape quality.
After precise vinification, malolactic fermentation takes place in winter in the estate's underground cellars. The wine is then aged for 12 months in 350-liter barrels, allowing it to refine its aromas and develop a harmonious texture.
On tasting, this Saint-Aubin 1er Cru seduces with its brilliant golden color. The nose is elegant and expressive, revealing aromas of citrus and white fruits such as pear and peach, underlined by a subtle floral touch. On the palate, it offers a perfect balance of freshness and enveloping texture. The long, precise finish is marked by an intense minerality, a faithful reflection of its limestone terroir.
