Description
Domaine JM Sélèque's 2018 Champagne Partition embodies the excellence and authenticity of the Champagne terroirs. A true masterpiece, this cuvée brings together grapes from the estate's 7 most distinctive plots, spread across prestigious sites from Dizy and Vertus to Epernay, Mardeuil and Pierry. The blend, made up of 72% Chardonnay, 14% Meunier and 14% Pinot Noir, reflects a perfect harmony, comparable to seven musical notes orchestrating a refined melody.
The vines are grown on predominantly clay-loam soils with flinty limestone and a subsoil of Campanian chalk, giving them a real personality. The wine is vinified exclusively in 350 to 600-litre oak barrels, without fining or filtering, guaranteeing pure, natural expression of the fruit. After ageing under a cork flower stopper for 5 years for the bottles (8 years for the magnums), and an extra brut dosage of 1.5 g/L, this Champagne stands out for its aromatic complexity, refined structure and exceptional length on the palate. A true showcase for JM Sélèque's artisanal expertise, Partition 2018 is an exceptional Champagne that has been hailed by the critics (98/100 Bettane & Desseauve), and is destined for connoisseurs and lovers of great sparkling wines.
