Domaine Dureuil-Janthial's Rully Rouge is made from old Pinot Noir vines planted between 1974 and 1978 on a variety of Rully terroirs. Carefully vinified and matured for 12 months in barrels (33% of which are new), followed by 6 months in stainless steel vats, this wine has a concentrated colour with aromas of ripe fruit. Its balanced structure and minerality give it excellent ageing potential, reflecting the excellence of this Côte Chalonnaise estate.

Description
Domaine Dureuil-Janthial's Rully Rouge is an authentic expression of the Pinot Noir grown on the diverse terroirs of Rully in Burgundy. This wine comes from three distinct parcels: Le Meix Cadot, En Rosey and Montagne de Remenot
The vines, which are over four decades old, receive special attention, with manual harvesting and rigorous double sorting. Depending on the vintage, the grapes are destemmed or not, then placed in truncated wooden vats for a week's cold maceration. Fermentation is monitored daily, with appropriate interventions (punching down or pumping over) depending on the tasting.
The wine is matured in a 19th-century cellar for 12 months in barrels (33% of which are new) with malolactic fermentation, followed by 6 months in stainless steel vats. Bottling follows the lunar calendar, respecting the estate's traditional practices.
This Rully Rouge is distinguished by its deep colour and intense aromas of ripe fruit. The minerality inherent in the Rully terroirs adds remarkable freshness and complexity. The tannic structure is well-balanced, offering a long finish. Thanks to careful ageing, this wine has excellent ageing potential, allowing connoisseurs to discover the evolution of its aromas over the years.
