Domaine Coffinet-Duvernay's Bourgogne Aligoté is an exceptional white wine made from 60-year-old vines in Chassagne-Montrachet. These Cordon-pruned vines produce low yields, giving the grapes a concentration and richness that are rare for an Aligoté. This wine seduces with its freshness, elegance and depth, with subtle aromas of citrus fruit and white flowers, perfect for lovers of great Burgundies.
The domain produced 1165 bottles and 12 magnums in the 2023 vintage.
Domaine Coffinet-Duvernay's Bourgogne Aligoté is a real gem from Chassagne-Montrachet. Produced from plots located at the bottom of the village, this wine is made from old vines over 60 years old, pruned in Cordon, an unusual method for the Aligoté grape variety. This pruning, combined with deliberately limited yields (30 to 40 hectolitres/hectare), means that the grapes are very ripe, concentrated and rich in aroma. The result is a white wine that is both fresh and deep, revealing a delicate palette of aromas combining notes of citrus fruit, white flowers and subtle minerality. This Bourgogne Aligoté stands out for its balance and elegance, with a long finish. Perfect with seafood, grilled fish or simply as an aperitif, this wine will delight wine-lovers looking for an authentic experience of the great whites of Burgundy.
