The Vosne-Romanée “Aux Jachées” from the Boigey estate comes from a rare plot located just below the village of Vosne-Romanée, in a discreet area of the appellation. This location benefits from favorable exposure, allowing the grapes to ripen evenly while retaining the natural freshness essential to the balance of Pinot Noir. The soil, composed of clay mixed with fine sand, provides effective drainage while maintaining sufficient water reserves, promoting a precise expression of the terroir.
The estate cultivates only 0.27 hectares of this “Aux Jachées” climat, much of which is owned by the Jean-Yves Bizot estate, giving this cuvée a particularly exclusive character. The vines, which are 40 years old on average, are deeply rooted and bring concentration, aromatic complexity, and natural finesse.
After 15 to 16 months of aging in oak barrels, 30% of which are new, the wine reveals a fresh and fruity expression, supported by an elegant structure. The palate is taut and salty, with a long, silky finish typical of the great wines of Vosne-Romanée. This wine can be enjoyed in its youth, but will gain depth after 2 to 8 years of aging.
