This climate located in the town of Puligny owes its name to the former lord of the village who was nicknamed the "Chevalier". In the opinion of many, the Chevalier-Montrachet from Domaine Leflaive is one of the best wines of the appellation, combining power and elegance. It offers a wine with unequaled mineral power. It is a great white wine to keep for at least 15 years.
Ask a question :
The vinification and aging of the wines are carried out with respect for Burgundian tradition: long and natural fermentation in oak barrels, stirring until winter, followed by two years in the cellar. Balance, structure and expression of the terroir characterize the wines of this exceptional estate, whose prestige extends far beyond our borders. The Bienvenues-Bastard-Montrachet is reminiscent of its big brother the Montrachet, while revealing less richness but perhaps more finesse. It offers a set of very racy noble aromas: marzipan, fern, exotic fruits, amber, white flowers. On the palate, its acidity is rather discreet, expressing intense mellowness and impressive persistence.
Over the centuries, the wines of the Leflaive estate have earned their letters of nobility and are considered a must by many lovers of great Burgundy wines.
