Description

The Ajaccio ‘Granit 174’ from the Vaccelli estate is a flagship wine of Corsican viticulture. Made from old vines grown using organic farming methods, this red wine takes its name from the precise altitude of the plot: 174 metres above sea level on granite soils typical of the region. Mainly composed of Sciaccarellu, the emblematic grape variety of the Ajaccio appellation, it is complemented by a touch of Niellucciu and other indigenous grape varieties.

Hand-harvested, delicately vinified and aged in casks and demi-muids, Granit 174 seduces with its mineral freshness, elegant nose of red fruits and spices, and precise, silky palate. It is a wine that is both refined and vibrant, revealing the depth of the Corsican terroir while remaining highly drinkable.

Ideal for drinking now or after a few years of ageing, it is the perfect accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine, grilled meats or mature sheep's cheese.
