This parcel is located on the heights of the village, more exactly on the place called "Les Combards", it is the highest parcel of the appellation, surrounded by woods, which generates a micro climate. The vines are planted in very stony soil and are very old, about 80 years old. They are cordon pruned, which is normally a more suitable pruning for pinot noir.

On tasting, the wine is lively and silky. On the palate there are mineral, stony and lemony notes. It is one of the freshest wines of the appellation.

The estate produced 561 bottles and 12 magnums in the 2021 vintage

Description

The Coffinet-Duvernay wines are vinified in a very traditional way, but with a "modern" concentration. The wines are wonderfully generous, fresh, lively and have great ageing potential. The domain's motto is to intervene as little as possible and to let the wine make itself, which is why malolactic fermentation is not prevented, and brings its fatness and opulence to this wine.

Even if it can be enjoyed in its youth, we advise you to keep this 1er cru in your cellar for at least 5 years before drinking it so that it can release its full potential.

A great discovery to be enjoyed very quickly!
