Description
This Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er cru is produced by one of Burgundy's rising stars, Charles Lachaux, the sixth generation of the Arnoux Lachaux estate and who in 2021 was voted best young winemaker in the world at the Golden Vines Awards, no less!
On the vinification side, the grapes are destemmed and then undergo a low-intervention alcoholic fermentation, followed by a cold pre-fermentation period of 3 to 7 days. The wines are then matured by gravity in French oak barrels (20% new barrels).
On tasting, the wine is full-bodied and intense, revealing aromas of red fruit such as cherry with hints of minerality. The palate is round, generous and greedy.
In its youth, the wine is very fresh, but we recommend that you cellar it for 3 to 5 years to allow it to express its full potential.
