Description
The Pierre Girardin estate, one of the emerging gems of the Jura region, offers Le Noyer Savagnin, a unique white wine made from old vines planted in 1922, facing south-west at an altitude of 300 metres on fine marl and decalcified clay soils.
The winemaking process follows a minimalist approach: whole bunch hand harvesting, natural fermentation in 456-litre French oak barrels, followed by 8 months in stainless steel vats. The total ageing period lasts 20 months in 100% new barrels, promoting a rich texture and assertive aromatic complexity.
The nose reveals a mineral character, fresh citrus (lime) and hints of wet stone, before discovering a structured, crystalline, dense palate, magnified by a beautiful, mouth-watering acidity.
This biodynamic Savagnin stands out for its balance between vibrant energy and salty character, promising to age for up to ten years, according to leading international tasters.

Pierre-Vincent Girardin is a very promising winemaker located in the commune of Meursault as he vinified his first vintage in 2017. He comes from a family of winemakers and runs a 4.5 hectare vineyard.
