Description
Along with Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet and Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet is one of the five great white wines of the Côte de Beaune, shared between the villages of Puligny and Chassagne; this quintet competes for the title of "best dry white wine in the world". the fact remains that these wines reach heights of richness, aromatic complexity and persistence that are rarely equalled. With a light gold color, the Bâtard-Montrachet evolves towards golden yellow while developing an exceptionally powerful bouquet. This rich and complex wine has aromas of lemon, butter, almond, honey and spice. Great smoothness characterizes this majestic cru.
The domain
Domaine Ramonet
Highly sought after throughout the world, the Ramonet estate, located on the Côte de Beaune, exploits exceptional terroirs: Bâtard Montrachet, Montrachet, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet. The domain has now separated its trading activity from the estate. However, this does not alter the quality of their wines.
