Description

Domaine Bruno Colin’s Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière comes from a vineyard located in the village of Dezize-lès-Maranges, south of the Côte de Beaune. Planting on stony white soils resting on blue marl, this Pinot Noir vineyard, planted in 1986, benefits from a particularly high-quality terroir that reveals finesse and aromatic intensity.

Cultivated using organic farming methods, the vineyard undergoes mechanical soil cultivation and plowing aimed at preserving the vine’s natural balance. The grapes are harvested by hand with meticulous sorting, then vinified using gentle extraction and a vatting period of about fifteen days to preserve all the elegance of the Pinot Noir.

A twelve-month aging in 350-liter barrels, about 25% of which are new oak, is followed by a period in tank before bottling to harmonize the wine.

On the palate, La Fussière reveals an intense nose of red berries, cherry, forest floor, and delicate spices. The palate is round, full-bodied, and structured, supported by elegant tannins and a mineral finish reminiscent of flint. A refined, rich, and particularly seductive Maranges 1er Cru.
