Domaine Bruno Colin
Domaine Bruno Colin, founded in 2004 in Chassagne-Montrachet by Bruno Colin, is rooted in Burgundy's rich winemaking tradition while adopting a modern, innovative approach. Having cut his teeth on the Colin-Deleger family estate, Bruno Colin set out on his own to build an ambitious project based on the excellence of the terroirs of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin.
The estate covers 9 hectares, including 3 hectares devoted to growing 100% Pinot Noir for elegant red wines and 6 hectares devoted to whites, 96% Chardonnay and 4% Aligoté. The estate offers 22 different appellations, including 14 Premiers Crus and 2 Grands Crus, illustrating the diversity and richness of Burgundy's vineyards.
The philosophy of Domaine Bruno Colin is simple: to extract the purest expression of the terroirs. To achieve this, the work in the vineyards is meticulous - the grapes are harvested by hand from vines that are an average of 45 years old - and the vinification is carried out with precision, thanks in particular to ageing in wood for a limited period of 12 months, with 20 to 25% new barrels. The result is a wine that is both authentic and refined, renowned for the precision of its tannins, the clarity of its fruit and its faithful expression of Burgundy's climates. A sure-fire address for connoisseurs looking for a real immersion in the soul of Burgundy.
