Description

The Bastian Wolber estate reveals the full potential of the Mercurey terroir with its Laisse Tomber Mercurey cuvée. Cultivated with respect for the vines and the living environment, this Pinot Noir sincerely expresses the richness of the appellation's clay-limestone soils. On tasting, it seduces with its brilliant colour, a complex nose combining cherry, raspberry and spicy notes, as well as a subtle floral touch. On the palate, the attack is silky and precise, carried by fine tannins and a beautiful freshness. The balance between the concentration of fruit and the elegance of the structure makes this a highly drinkable wine, accessible now but capable of ageing for a few years. Ideal with roast poultry, duck breast or mature cheeses, this Mercurey embodies Bastian Wolber's expertise and his desire to offer authentic, lively wines imbued with sincerity.
