The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières – En la Richarde from the Benoît Ente estate perfectly embodies the excellence and precision of the great white wines of Burgundy. Located in the upper part of the Folatières climat, the ‘En la Richarde’ plot rests on stony, limestone soils that give the wine remarkable mineral tension and great elegance.
The vines, some of which are over fifty years old, are cultivated with exemplary rigour, respecting the terroir and natural balances. Controlled yields and manual harvesting ensure perfectly ripe grapes with pure and complex aromatic expression. Vinification and ageing are precise and minimally interventionist, favouring finesse over power.
On tasting, this Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru reveals subtle aromas of white fruit, flowers, citrus and flint.
