The Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er cru “Les Boudots” from the Boigey estate comes from a small plot located on the border between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée, at the top of the Côte de Nuits hillside. This privileged location offers ideal conditions for Pinot Noir to ripen, combining sunshine, natural ventilation, and freshness.
The soil, mainly composed of sand and pebbles, is very well-drained. This geological nature gives the wine great aromatic precision, beautiful tension, and a subtle mineral expression, the signature of the great terroirs of this area. The estate cultivates only 0.30 hectares in this climat, for an extremely limited production of around 600 bottles per year, reinforcing the rarity of this cuvée.
The vines, which are 40 years old on average, bring depth and complexity to the wine. After careful vinification, the wine is aged for 15 to 16 months in oak barrels, with 50% new barrels, which are perfectly integrated. On tasting, Nuits-Saint-Georges “Les Boudots” seduces with its balance between finesse and structure: bright red fruits, remarkable freshness, silky tannins, and an elegant finish. Accessible after a few years, it will reveal its full potential after 3 to 10 years of aging.
