Description
The Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru from the Alvina Pernot estate is made from grapes grown in one of the most prestigious climats in the Côte de Beaune. This unique terroir, with its limestone and clay-limestone soils, gives the Chardonnay an exceptional natural richness, balanced by remarkable mineral tension.
The grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously sorted. Gentle pressing and minimal intervention during vinification result in juices of great purity. Fermentation takes place naturally in oak barrels, followed by careful ageing that accompanies the wine without dominating its expression.
Bâtard-Montrachet is distinguished by a complex nose combining ripe yellow fruit, candied citrus, flowers and slightly toasted notes. On the palate, the texture is dense and generous, supported by precise acidity that brings balance and length. The wines express the limestone terroirs of Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault with finesse, with a limited and demanding production.
