Domaine Henri & Gilles Buisson
Domaine Henri & Gilles Buisson, located in Saint-Romain, Burgundy, has embodied winemaking excellence since 1758. The Buisson family, winemakers from father to son, have always made the most of their land. In 1947, Henri Buisson founded the domaine as an independent winemaker, planting the first vines on 5 hectares, a milestone that coincided with Saint-Romain obtaining its AOC.
His son Gilles, with his wife Monica, continued this adventure, expanding the vineyard to 14 hectares and modernizing the infrastructure. This expansion has enabled future generations to flourish. In 2008, Henri's grandsons Franck and Frédérick took up the torch. Heirs to an inestimable passion and know-how, they converted the estate to biodynamic viticulture in 2018, after obtaining BIO certification in 2009.
Franck and Frédérick Buisson are deeply committed to environmentally-friendly viticulture. Their eco-responsible approach translates into rigorous monitoring of their carbon footprint and constant reflection on ecological innovation. This philosophy includes meticulous selection of corks, bottles and winemaking equipment, always with respect for nature and each terroir.
Domaine Henri & Gilles Buisson produces wines that capture the essence of their terroirs, with each climate meticulously nurtured to express its unique character. Vinification is monitored on a daily basis, guaranteeing wines of singularity and exceptional quality. Today, their wines are exported to some twenty countries, testifying to their international success and their ability to seduce wine lovers in every corner of the globe.
By combining tradition and innovation, Franck and Frédérick Buisson have placed the family domaine at the heart of viticultural progress, making Burgundy's climats shine far beyond France's borders.
