Description

Champagne Jacquesson Avize Champ Caïn 2014 embodies the excellence of the Avize terroir. From a 1.30 hectare plot facing due south, planted exclusively with Chardonnay in 1962, this Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru benefits from a chalky soil mixed with clay, sand and silt, enriched with Campanian chalk gravel. The harvest, carried out on 22 September 2014, produced a balanced wine with an alcohol content of 11% and acidity of 6.9 g/L.

Vinified and matured in tuns on the lees without filtering or fining, this champagne was disgorged in January 2024 with zero dosage (0 g/L), thus preserving its purity and tension. The nose reveals aromas of yellow fruit, hazelnut and chalky minerality. The palate is full and precise, with a long, saline finish. A rare and refined champagne, ideal for lovers of great Champagne wines.
