Description
The Nuits-Saint-Georges “Les Damodes” from Domaine Lécheneaut comes from a 13-acre plot located in the northern part of the appellation, on the border with Vosne-Romanée. The Pinot Noir vines, with an average age of 55 years, are rooted in a particularly complex terroir composed of finely gravelly brown limestone soils, mixing silt-clay fractions and cryoclastic limestone scree from white oolite. These elements rest on the compact pink limestone of Premeaux, enriched with layers of marl, giving the wine finesse, depth, and precision.
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand in order to preserve their quality and ensure the most faithful expression of the terroir. Production is limited to around 3,000 bottles per vintage, guaranteeing a rigorous, artisanal approach in keeping with the philosophy of Domaine Lécheneaut.
On tasting, the Nuits-Saint-Georges “Les Damodes” stands out for its great aromatic freshness and remarkable fruit purity. The nose reveals clear notes of red and black fruits, supported by an elegant and delicate structure.
