The Jacquesson Avize Champ Caïn 2015 Champagne embodies the excellence of the Avize terroir. From a 1.3-hectare south-facing plot planted exclusively with Chardonnay in 1962, this Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru benefits from a limestone soil blended with clay, sand, and silt, enriched with Campanian chalk gravel. The harvest, carried out on September 21, 2015, yielded a balanced wine with an alcohol content of 11.5% and an acidity of 5.7 g/L.
Vinified and aged in large oak casks on its lees without filtration or fining, this Champagne was disgorged in February 2015 with a dosage of 1 g/L, thus preserving its purity and tension.
