The Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru ‘Fairendes’ from the Fernand & Laurent Pillot estate is a confidential cuvée from a terroir located within the prestigious Morgeot climate. Facing south and planted with old Chardonnay vines, this plot benefits from stony clay-limestone soil that gives the wine depth and minerality. The grapes are harvested by hand and then carefully vinified. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels (30% new), followed by 12 to 15 months of ageing.
This great Burgundy white wine seduces with its aromatic richness, blending ripe citrus fruits, white flowers, dried fruits and a well-integrated hint of vanilla. On the palate, it offers a perfect balance between fullness, freshness and precision. Its long, mouth-watering finish gives it excellent ageing potential (5 to 10 years).
