The Burgundy Pinot Noir from the Fernand & Laurent Pillot estate is a typical Burgundy red wine, made from vines planted between 1977 and 2009 in the commune of Pommard, in the ‘Maison Dieu’ and ‘Aumône’ areas. These plots, located on an ancient Gallo-Roman site, benefit from a terroir rich in history and character.
The vinification process respects Burgundy traditions: manual harvesting, destemming, cold maceration, natural fermentation with regular punching down, then 11 months' ageing in French oak barrels, 10% of which are new. This rigorous approach produces a harmonious, fresh and expressive wine.
On the nose, this Pinot Noir reveals lovely aromas of crisp red fruits. The palate is supple and round, with fine tannins and lovely freshness. This wine seduces with its accessibility and finesse, ideal for drinking young (between 2 and 5 years). Perfect with white meats, grilled meats or a Burgundy fondue. Serve at 15°C.
A Burgundy classic, as convivial as it is elegant.
