Champagne Ullens “NR” Rosé 2022 is a unique single-vineyard cuvée that exemplifies all of Maxime Ullens’ creativity and high standards at Domaine de Marzilly. Produced in extremely limited quantities, this cuvée is made exclusively from Meunier, the iconic grape variety of the Massif de Saint-Thierry and the estate’s true signature.
Unlike many Champagne rosés made through blending, “NR” is a true maceration rosé. The Meunier grapes are gently infused in a Wine Globe to precisely extract the grape’s color, aromas, and texture. This original method preserves the fruit’s full finesse while imparting remarkable aromatic depth.
Certified organic, this cuvée undergoes careful vinification followed by extended aging before bottling in September 2023. After nearly two years of aging in the cellar, the champagne is disgorged in August 2025 and then dosed at just 2.9 g/l using a house-made dosage made from red Champagne Coteaux.
On the palate, the Ullens “NR” Rosé 2022 Champagne reveals a refined bouquet of wild strawberries, fresh raspberries, red currants, and rose petals. The palate combines precision, freshness, and richness, supported by a subtle mineral tension and great fruit purity. The long, delicately briny finish extends the natural elegance of this cuvée.
Produced in a limited run of just 1,174 bottles, this exclusive cuvée offers a modern, precise, and deeply distinctive interpretation of Champagne rosé.
Domaine de Marzilly is an independent winery located in the Massif de Saint-Thierry, northwest of Reims. Founded in 2012 by Maxime Ullens, it was born out of the restoration of a 12th-century château surrounded by historic vineyards. Growing primarily Meunier on the sandy soils of Hermonville, the estate produces Champagnes that are terroir-driven, elegant, and deeply influenced by their origin.
